Dutch (U8 - U18)
The Dutch Soccer Program
is offered to all kids U8-U18 alone or in conjunction with County and Travel
play. If your child is registered in any DAA Fall sport and would also like to
play in the Dutch program, a $30.00 fee will be added at the time of
registration. They may also choose to simply play in the Dutch program. We
encourage all kids to play in both county/travel and Dutch programs to advance their skill level and
give them more play time. This program is a 90 minute per week commitment and
is perfect for kids who want to play multiple sports. Once a week, we will hold
a 45 minute technical practice guided by a UK Elite trainer working along side our coaches, followed by a 45 minute game. (U12 County players will have a conflict since their games are played on Friday nights)
This fast, highly paced
simple 4v4 format offers more touches to the ball and time to develop skills.
Kids looking for purely recreational activity are candidates for this program
along with County participants trying to advance skills in order to make a
travel team. Athletes already involved in the travel program will benefit from
the additional play time and the fun and fast format. It also allows kids to
play with friends in a sport they love, that they may not otherwise get to play
with.
Maximum of 5-7 players
per team and all kids receive 50% playing time. Smaller field size and 6ft pug
goals will be used in lieu of standard 7v7 goals.
Statistics in Dutch
Soccer show that this format offers players:
135% more passes
260% more attempts on goal
500% more goals scored
225% more 1 on 1 encounters
280% more tricks attempted
Eligibility: born between August 1, 1993 - July 31, 2003 are eligible to play
Cost: $95.00 if
playing Dutch soccer only. If playing Dutch in conjunction with another DAA Fall sport, add $30.00 to those registration fees.
